New Nokia phones come one step closer to MWC 2017 release
TWO NEW Nokia Android smartphones appear in Russia as excitement continues to build ahead of Mobile World Congress release. Nokia phone fans could be getting their first look at the company’s new smartphones earlier than thought after information on more handsets were leaked online. Official certification for two new Nokia devices has been revealed from Russia, signalling that the company is set to expand its European phone family sooner than thought. This means that Nokia could be planning the launch of multiple new handsets within the next few weeks. The documents concern two new devices, listed as the TA-1008 and TA-1030, both of which passed Russian tests. This information, revealed by Russian site Mobiltelefon.ru, is in line with past Nokia releases, as the previous Nokia 6 handset was passed through certification as the TA-1003.

There’s little other information hidden in the document, other than that the category of the certification means both new devices are classed as feature phones.
Nokia’s global partner HMD Global is also listed as the vendor for the new products, which would appear to confirm that the devices are legitimate.

We’ll have to wait until Mobile World Congress at the end of the month to get confirmed details on exactly what Nokia has in store, but the company could be planning something spectacular to announce its return to the big time.
Alongside an entry-level Nokia Heart smartphone, the company is apparently set to launch its most powerful smartphone to date.
The Nokia P1 will reportedly sport an all-metal body that is curved at the corners, similar to many leading Android devices around today.
Below this is a physical home button with an embedded fingerprint sensor for speedy locking and unlocking, and will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, making it the first Nokia device to do so.
As for cameras, the device will sport a Carl Zeiss-made 22.6MP rear camera, which would be one of the most powerful lenses around today.
Inside, the Nokia P1 is set to be the company’s most powerful device to date, sporting a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM and 256GB storage - all powered by a huge 3,500mAh battery.
Reports have also suggested that a new super-sized Nokia tablet device could also be set for launch soon.
According to the specification notes the as-yet-unnamed device sports a 18.4in touchscreen with a 2560x1440 UHD display. Inside, there’s a majorly powerful oct-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Interestingly, the device reportedly runs a tweaked version of Android 7.0 Nougat, with the spec sheet noting a ‘Android FIH Edition’.
There’s also a 12MP rear camera that is able to capture UltraHD 4K video, and comes with autofocus and touch focus features, twinned with a 12MP front lens with the same capability.
The device also comes with Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Wi-Fi LTE connectivity - so now we just need to wait and see when it will be revealed.
